Dreams are a unique form of communication; a way for your dreaming self to communicate with you.

Sometimes the messages contained within dreams can be obscure and difficult to interpret but if your dream contains symbols of communication, such as letters, handwriting, telephones or emails, its meaning may be easier to interpret. Often these symbols are entwined with a wealth of other images but sometimes you may wake with a lingering image of them as the main item in your dream.

Both Carl Jung and Fritz Perls believed that each dream symbol is an aspect of your true self and that communication symbols, in particular, contain useful messages from your unconscious. When trying to interpret these messages, first consider whether the communication makes a clear reference to your waking life or triggers other associations for you. The next thing to consider is the form the communication took and what this suggests. For example, a phone call suggests something more informal than a telegram.

If the communication was coded, does that imply a close connection or a lack of understanding? Considering all these aspects in their context along with the other symbols in your dream may help with the interpretation.

To dream that you see a registered letter, foretells that some money matters will disrupt long-established relations.
