Giving advice or an opinion can represent a desire to help, express yourself, or control another person by getting them to agree with you or do things your way.

Receiving unwanted advice can represent: a feeling or fear of someone doing that in real life (or doing it too much or too forcefully); a feeling or fear of disapproval, intrusion, or interference.
